(1) Write a description of what you plan on doing for your independent study component.
- I plan on making a fitness plan for one week, and following it. The fitness plan includes an exercise regimen and nutritional meal guidelines to follow. The goal is to lose 1-2 pounds at the end of the
week, which is a healthy amount of weight to lose each week, according to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and my summer mentor Valerie Flloyd.
(2) Describe in detail how you think your plan will meet the 30 hours work requirement.
- There are more than 30 hours in one week, however, I will only take in account 5 hours each day. 2 hours for each workout, 1 hour of planning, and 2 hours for making/preparing my meals. I will include one rest day, as every good fitness plan should, and taking away the two hours for that workout, I will end up with a total of 33 hours.
- This relates to my essential question because it relates to an answer for my essential question, which is to "make a fitness plan, and stick to it" therefore, I shall use this independent component as a way to see the efficiency of my answer.
